Usually, people’s memories of their first encounter with horses are firmly etched in their minds. Not Lucie though. She grew up with horses from such a young age that she can’t remember a time when she wasn’t around them. Her love for horses was also encouraged by her aunt, who owns horses and is also a top rider. It was therefore no surprise that Lucie’s focus at secondary school and later university was on agriculture.

Neo joined De Heus Myanmar in June 2019. His ambition was to work for one of the best animal feed companies in Myanmar. Before coming to De Heus Myanmar, Neo was an Agri Business Department Manager at one of the top local banks for 4 years. De Heus is his second job in his career. He is currently working as a Treasurer.

Sondang One Mayosita is a Quality Assurance Supervisor at De Heus Indonesia. Her role involves overseeing the implementation of guidelines and requirements throughout the production process at all De Heus factories in Indonesia. Sondang is also instrumental in establishing the necessary requirements and guidelines for the new facility in East Java. Her daily responsibilities include coordinating with individuals in charge of various processes.

Our peopleGert Kerkhofs – Team Leader Dairy Specialists Flanders (Belgium)
Although he did not grow up on a farm, Gert Kerkhofs developed a passion for the sector at an early age. “During my holidays I worked on a farm, and that really sparked my enthusiasm,” he says. After attending agricultural school in Bocholt, he moved to Geel to obtain his bachelor’s degree in dairy farming. He then started working on a dairy farm to gain practical experience. “After several years in the barn, I moved into advisory work and eventually joined De Heus. I’m now team leader for the dairy team in Flanders.”

When Ibon Mujika Gonzalez joined De Heus in early 2025 as Lab Manager at the Orkoien Laboratory in Spain, he brought with him an impressive scientific background. With a degree in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country and hands-on experience across water quality, human food analysis and metallurgy, Ibon seamlessly transitioned into the world of animal nutrition — a field that was new to him, yet full of opportunity.

Our peopleSusandi - Production Section Head Aqua
Susandi has worked for De Heus Indonesia since 2000, when De Heus acquired PT Universal Agri Bisnisindo (UAB). He started working on a project, continued into commissioning and then went into maintenance. After that he moved to the operator room, was promoted to supervisor and finally ended up as section head.

Our peoplePavel Ryšánek - Grain Purchaser
Pavel Ryšánek is a new dad and a raw materials purchaser, who tries to divide his time evenly between taking care of his little newborn son and working for De Heus (Czech Republic). He graduated from the University of Defense, where he studied Purchasing and Logistics. During the last two years at university he worked for a Logistics Provider in a part-time job in order to gain experience. He stumbled upon De Heus by chance while searching for job offers, so it is his first full-time job after graduation. Luckily for us he has stayed (for six years already).
