Ivica Cvetković – Product Manager for Ruminants
Ivica Cvetković works as a Product Manager for Ruminants in the Commercial department at De Heus Serbia. Since joining in October 2023, he has brought a hands-on approach to his role, combining office work with regular visits to farms and production facilities. Ivica’s connection to the farming world is clear, as he spends much of his time close to the animals and the people who care for them, making his work both personal and practical.

A day in the life of a Product Manager
Ivica’s workday is a blend of field visits and office tasks. He plans weekly routes to visit dairy and beef farms across Serbia and export markets, spending several days on the road and a couple of days at production sites in Šabac and Ćuprija. His role involves developing feed formulations tailored to ruminants, calculating feeding rations, and offering nutritional advice to help farmers improve animal health and productivity. “What I enjoy most? The direct contact with farmers and seeing the positive results of my work in animal performance.” One achievement he is particularly proud of is the development of the Top Synchro Milk Robot feed, designed specifically for farms using robotic milking systems. This product, created from farmers’ needs, has delivered excellent production results and improved herd performance. “I understand cows better than people, as a quick look at a herd often tells me more than a long report,” he laughs, a skill sharpened by years of hands-on experience.

Ivica’s work goes beyond individual farms; it supports progress for colleagues, customers, and farmers alike. He provides expert advice, practical solutions, and organises training sessions and workshops to share knowledge and improve nutritional practices. His approachable and collaborative style builds trust and helps create long-term value. “A memorable moment for me was helping a customer in Albania increase milk production from 23 to 32 litres per cow per day while stabilising herd health.
