The foundation for a self-sustainable supply chain
Population growth and climate change: the two dilemmas of our time. A country like Ghana is very familiar with these dilemmas. The growing economy is spurring demand for local, safe and healthy food. The Ghanaian government is therefore faced with the challenge of improving local production because Ghana has depended on importing food and agricultural products from Europe for years. The West African country is taking matters into its own hands by embarking on the transition to self-sufficiency. Having a local presence and stimulating local production and knowledge in the poultry sector, De Heus can help facilitate this transition.

Perspectives from Management Excellence Programme graduates
At De Heus, leadership is not defined by a title, but by the mindset and commitment to drive meaningful progress. That’s why we invest in people. Our Management Excellence Programme (MEP) is one of the ways we shape the next generation of leaders across our global organisation. Launched in 2023, MEP has already welcomed 38 participants from 14 business units. The programme brings together emerging leaders for a transformative learning experience that equips them with the tools, self-awareness, and strategic insights to lead with clarity, empathy, and impact. MEP is more than a leadership course — it’s a journey of personal and professional growth. Through peer learning, expert coaching, and real-world assignments, participants are encouraged to reflect deeply, challenge assumptions, and lead from a broader perspective.
