De Heus Animal Nutrition partners with Black Jaguar Foundation to help realise the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor
On August 17 De Heus Animal Nutrition signed a long-term partnership with the Black Jaguar Foundation to support their efforts in strengthening the longest of all nature corridors on earth and one of South America’s largest reforestation projects. The Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor in Central Brazil will have a total length of 2,600 kilometres and a width of up to 40 kilometres situated alongside the riverbanks of the entire Araguaia River and part of the Tocantins River. The Corridor connects two of the world’s most vital ecosystems: the Amazon rainforest and the Cerrado savanna.

An ultra-modern facility to produce high quality mineral and vitamin mixtures for animal feed was opened at the Koudijs Ukraine enterprise, in the village of Khilchytsia, Zolochiv district, Lviv region. This new facility has a productivity of approximately 20.000 T pa.

Coppens acquisition enables De Heus to meet growing customer demand
Royal De Heus has reached agreement with the Coppens family about the acquisition of Coppens Diervoeding. Strategically located in Helmond, the Netherlands, Coppens has a modern animal feed plant with a 400,000-tonne capacity. The company has achieved a strong regional position within the pig and broiler sector. The acquisition perfectly alignes with De Heus’s goal of making its production more flexible and expanding its capacity in the Netherlands, as a means of facilitating further growth. The intended transaction still requires approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM).

De Heus strengthens strategic position in Vietnam by acquiring Masan's feed business
Ho Chi Minh City, 5th November 2021 – Further to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between De Heus Vietnam and Masan on 14 September 2021 (the “MOU”), today, De Heus Vietnam announces the signing of a strategic agreement with Masan, pursuant to which De Heus will obtain control of 100% of the feed related business of MNS Feed (100% ANCO and 75.2% Proconco).

Groundbreaking ceremony for the De Heus animal feed plant in Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya – On the 4th of April De Heus Kenya organized the groundbreaking ceremony of a new animal feed plant in Nairobi, Kenya. Located in Athi River, this facility represents the first dedicated animal feed plant in the country, marking a significant milestone for De Heus. With an annual capacity of 200,000 metric tonnes (MT), the factory is scheduled to initiate operations in the second half of 2025, serving catering to the needs of Kenya's poultry, swine, and dairy farming sectors. This initiative underscores De Heus' commitment to elevating livestock farming standards and supporting agricultural development in Kenya.
