Chris Prinsloo - Sustainability Officer
As the Sustainability Officer at De Heus South Africa, Chris Prinsloo brings a diverse set of experiences to the role. He has worked in a range of industries, including energy, feed milling, fast-food franchising, and human resources. Starting at North-West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa, in the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Chris moved into the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, beginning as a depot manager and rapidly progressing to senior management roles. He became the General Manager, overseeing 47 fast-food franchise units in South Africa and Zambia, and achieving notable outcomes in areas such as operational efficiency, cost reduction, customer satisfaction, and regional expansion. In 2019, Chris joined De Heus South Africa as the National Customer Service Coordinator, concentrating on enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. He was quickly promoted to the position of Sustainability Officer.

How global and local expertise result in high-performance premixes
De Heus premixes deliver consistent, high-quality results thanks to the close collaboration between the company’s global formulation team and its local business units throughout the world. The global nutrition, formulation and QA teams determine norms, nutrient levels and formulations guided by local knowledge, field trials and market conditions. Irek Tarlowski, Technologist at the De Heus premix animal feed factory in Lęczyca, Poland, talks to us about how he works together with colleagues throughout the world and how customers benefit.

Traineeship
Tim van der Vegt – Trainee Finance and Strategy/M&A
Having spent most of his childhood in Indiana (US) growing up on a large dairy farm, it may not come as a surprise to those close to Tim that he chose the traineeship at De Heus. When he and his family moved back to the Netherlands in 2014, Tim finished high school in Assen and decided to study Econometrics with a specialization in Quantitative Finance at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Among the many traineeships available for prospective starters, the traineeship at De Heus especially excited him.

Putheany Ung - Product Manager
Putheany Ung has a rich educational background with degrees in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Monogastric Animal Nutrition, Extension Education, and International Communication. This diverse knowledge base laid the foundation for his role as a Product Manager. Starting his career as a Research Officer at the Royal University of Agriculture, he gained valuable experience in livestock feed analysis and livestock-related research. Currently, at De Heus TMH Cambodia, he manages products for poultry, swine, and ruminants, leveraging his expertise to enhance livestock production in Cambodia.

Marco Antônio Guardabaxo has been a farmer all his life. He’s also a true entrepreneur. Over the years, he’s grown his business into a thriving operation that now includes a huge pig farm and a packaging company. When the health of his pigs started to deteriorate, he collaborated with De Heus. With De Heus premix for pigs he solved the problem and improved the productivity of his animals.
