The purpose of the website is to give children an insight into the livestock sector and to explain to them, in an objective way, how animals grow, give milk and eggs and how animal feed is made. Reduced clostridium diarrhoea through change in feeding approach

The first day after farrowing all looks good. But on the second or third day however, suddenly there are piglets in the farrowing room that have a drop in growth. The first thing that comes to mind is that the sow has too little milk. But a more careful look shows small spots of diarrhoea lying about here and there. By means of a quick test it is easy to isolate the pathogens that are playing a role here.

November 9th, at Song May Industrial Park, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai; De Heus organized the Inauguration Ceremony of De Heus Premix Factory, with a capacity of 60,000 tons. This is the first Premix Factory of De Heus in Asia.

How quality genetics have been transforming the nation’s poultry value chain

Faced with increased competition and chain integrations, a volatile market and increasing consumer demands, Vietnamese independent poultry farmers’ access to a steady supply of quality day-old chicks was disappearing. Driven by the growing demand for quality farm inputs, a joint venture was established between De Heus Vietnam and Belgabroed – to secure farmers’ access to quality inputs and break ground for a much bigger strategy to bring quality poultry meat to the Vietnamese consumer.

Tassia Mye Banin Thomazini - Quality Control Supervisor

Tassia began her career at De Heus as a Quality Control Analyst, joining the Quality team at the time when the laboratory was set up in the country, located in one of the units of Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo. Today, Tassia oversees all the procedures and laboratory staff, who not only perform much of the monitoring analyses of raw materials and finished products from all De Heus Brazil manufacturing units, but also analyse samples for various De Heus customers. "Every day I learn from new challenges, both in the technical and people management field," says Tassia.
