De Heus opens Quality Laboratory in Rio Claro, Brazil
The multinational De Heus, an expert in animal nutrition, launched its Quality Laboratory last Monday, in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil. This is only the first in a series of events that represent the growth of the company in Brazil - the other ones were in Toledo and Londrina, in Paraná. During the celebrations, Koen De Heus, Global CEO of the company and Ton van der Laan, member of the Royal Group De Heus Board were present, and they came especially from the Netherlands to welcome the press.

The opening of the new De Heus factory in Parana shakes up agriculture business! The unit, located in Toledo, is a factory dedicated - in the Dutch mold - and which already produces the line of Feed Premium Romelko, novelty in Brazil The openning of the new dedicated factory of De Heus, in Toledo changed the agribusiness in Paraná and brought together entrepreneurs, producers, cooperatives and authorities of the region, such as the mayor of the city, Lucio de Machi; the secretary of economic development, Paulo Almeida; former mayor Beto Lunitti. Also attended the event: Koen De Heus, global CEO of the company; and Ton van der Laan, member of the Grupo Royal De Heus Board; who came from the Netherlands to this important event.

Susana Arrojo González - HR Director
June 2020 De Heus Animal Nutrition continued its growth in the north of Spain with the acquisition of Piensos Muga. Susana Arrojo González has been working as a HR Director for De Heus Spain since December 2017. She played an important role in smoothing the merger of both companies into one integrated company with a strong and unique De Heus culture.

Tassia Mye Banin Thomazini - Quality Control Supervisor
Tassia began her career at De Heus as a Quality Control Analyst, joining the Quality team at the time when the laboratory was set up in the country, located in one of the units of Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo. Today, Tassia oversees all the procedures and laboratory staff, who not only perform much of the monitoring analyses of raw materials and finished products from all De Heus Brazil manufacturing units, but also analyse samples for various De Heus customers. "Every day I learn from new challenges, both in the technical and people management field," says Tassia.

Anke Swinkels and Eke Sinnema – female bulk truck drivers
Anke Swinkels (35) and Eke Sinnema (23) both work as dry bulk tanker truck drivers for De Heus in the Veghel area of the Netherlands. Being a truck driver wasn’t a lifelong dream for either of them, but they are both very happy with their career choice. Working in two shifts, they enjoy the variety, freedom and autonomy offered by the job.

Marcin Wojno - Warehouse Manager
Marcin Wojno has worked for De Heus since 2011, having joined the team at the Łomża plant as a warehouse manager. He already had experience in both team management and working in a warehouse, but had no idea about the feed industry and production. However, he was interested by the job and the company with its established position on the market, respect for its employees, and the potential development opportunities and independence. So, he decided to apply.

Emma Beijer - Product Manager Laying Hens
Emma Beijer (29) grew up on her parents’ poultry farm in the Dutch village of Wamel. In view of her interest in the agricultural sector, studying at Wageningen University was the logical next step. She joined De Heus as an intern five years ago, in the final phase of her master’s degree in animal science. After finishing her degree, Emma was delighted to be allowed to stay on at De Heus, where she subsequently became a researcher in parent stock and laying hens. She currently works as Product Manager Laying Hens for the Dutch, Belgian and German markets, and is responsible for the feed range for laying hens together with her colleague, Florian van der Hoeven.
