In order to deliver the most innovative solutions as part of its premix animal nutrition strategy, De Heus forms strategic partnerships with key suppliers. The aim is to co-develop innovative new products, tools and service offerings that optimise animal performance and health. One such partner is Phileo by Lesaffre, who has a long history in yeast and now uses beneficial micro-organisms to naturally improve human and animal nutrition. NewsGrand opening of new De Heus Shrimp Feed Mill in Vietnam
On the 5th of March 2024, at Co Chien Industrial Zone, Vinh Long province, De Heus organized the grand opening ceremony of a new shrimp feed mill. Esteemed dignitaries graced the occasion. Additionally, customers, partners, prominent leaders from local authorities, and members of the press were in attendance. The guests were invited to a tour inside the feed mill to see firsthand how high-quality shrimp feeds are produced.

SustainabilityA De Heus hatchery in Ghana boosts the region's farmers and supports local communities
Last year, De Heus formed a pioneering joint venture with Kuipers Breeders to set up a state-of-the-art hatchery in Ghana producing layer chicks. By supplying a cost-effective alternative to imported layer hens, the partnership aims to help develop egg farming in the region, provide the local population with an affordable source of protein and support rural communities. Though the early days posed formidable challenges, Ela's tenacity and adaptability paved the way for growth and fulfilment. Nowadays she leads a team of 12 people. Reflecting on her journey, Ela remarks, "Every challenge I faced was an opportunity for growth. It was through overcoming obstacles that I truly discovered my capabilities and passion for this industry. One thing is important to me.
