Amro El Kady – Plant manager

Amro works as a Plant Manager for Koudijs Kapo Feed in Egypt. Although his father was a mechanical engineer Amro has a thing for agriculture. When he was younger he already took care of the bit of land next to his house. Before Amro started at Koudijs, he had already worked in the livestock sector for 8 years . Amro has been part of the Koudijs team since its inception, which is now more than 18 years ago!

Koudijs premixes are produced in a dedicated premix plant in Veghel, in the south of the Netherlands. The plant is built to ensure that every bag, big bag, or bulk container contains a high-quality, homogeneous premix tailored to customer needs. How sourcing raw materials locally can improve the lives of rural farmers in Ghana

To achieve a sustainable supply chain and foster communities, De Heus Ghana's ambition is to purchase at least 50% of its raw materials from local sources by 2025. In this way, the company can improve the whole supply chain along with the economic position of local farmers. Edward Diehl - Nutritionist Poultry for Central and Eastern Europe

After eight years of travelling around the globe, living in the US for a year and being away from home for more than 36 weeks a year, Edward Diehl (34) decided to settle down at De Heus Animal Nutrition. Edward joined the Global Nutrition team as Nutritionist Poultry for Central and Eastern Europe in February 2021. In this capacity, he strives to achieve the right balance between nutritional value, price, raw materials and logistics. It is a challenge he enjoys; by tweaking the recipe, he can make a difference.

Arturo Peña Cuervo - Veterinary Surgeon and Area Manager

Arturo was born in Badajoz in 1987 and trained as a Veterinary Surgeon at the University of Extremadura. After 7 years doing clinical work with farm animals across Extremadura, he joined De Heus in 2017, becoming part of the team as Area Manager. He currently lives in Mérida, close to De Heus’ factory in La Garrovilla.

Royal De Heus goes for sustainable soy in Europe

In the Netherlands, De Heus has been using sustainable soy for the production of compound feed since 2015. With the signing of the FEFAC Covenant 'sustainable soy', De Heus is taking an important step towards the use of responsibly grown soy for compound feed within its factories located in Poland, Spain, Portugal Czech Republic and Slovakia as well. The covenant stipulates that the use of responsible soy in compound feed in all feed mills situated in the European Union will be a reality by 2025 at the latest.
