Luciano Alvarenga – Ruminants Commercial Manager
Born in Lavras, in the southern region of Minas Gerais, an Animal Scientist with a master’s degree in animal nutrition from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Luciano Alvarenga grew up immersed in his family’s tradition of cattle farming and coffee cultivation. With a 25-year career in the market, he has gained solid experience working across the Southeast, Midwest, and, more recently, the South of Brazil – building a strong trajectory focused on contributing to animal production and generating value in the field through close relationships with producers and industries, always seeking strategic partnerships.

Currently, Luciano serves as the Ruminants Commercial Manager at De Heus Brasil, a position he has held since 2016. With a background in leading animal nutrition companies – and nine years of contributions within De Heus – he has participated in pioneering projects throughout the country, especially over the last six years in the Southern region. His mission goes beyond commercial leadership; he also plays the role of a key connector between technical, industrial, and sales areas, always attentive to customer needs and emerging business opportunities.

Technology with purpose and transformative results
Among the most memorable moments in his career, Luciano highlights his role in the development and implementation of the MUB (Low Moisture Blend) technology in Brazil. The project, which involved several departments within the company, aimed to establish an innovative product in De Heus’ portfolio and expand its acceptance and commercialisation nationwide.
“Joining De Heus with the challenge of introducing the most innovative bovine supplementation technology in Brazil was a true turning point. We had support from multiple departments, which clearly showed how internal collaboration is essential to achieving great results. Today, seeing MUB firmly established in the field is a source of immense pride,” he adds.
