De Heus Opens New Animal Feed Factory in Punjab, India
Rajpura, Sept 30th - De Heus India, part of De Heus Animal Nutrition, opens a new animal feed factory in Rajpura, Punjab. The factory, built with an investment of around 17 mln USD, is one of the largest and most advanced in India, carrying an installed capacity of 180 kMT with the potential to expand to 240 kMT. The factory has separate production lines for cattle, buffalo, poultry, and pig feed. It uses the latest European technology and automation to produce high-quality animal feeds.

Standing on the shoulders of Giants
In the countryside around Beuningen, a Dutch town in the province of Gelderland, you’ll find De Heus’ Swine Nutrition Centre ‘De Elsenpas’. A seemingly ordinary modern-day swine farm – one of around 3,600 in the Netherlands. But if you look more closely, the observant viewer will notice the 30+ feed silos huddled to the left of the main building. A hint that something unusual is taking place inside.

De Heus underlines growth in Myanmar by opening second production site
On 29 May 2018 De Heus Myanmar proudly celebrated the opening of its second production site in Myanmar. This modern production facility will enable De Heus to strengthen its market position and help professionalise agriculture in the region. Located on 26,000 square metres near Mandalay, the factory has an annual production capacity of 280,000 MT and is regarded as the most sustainable feed production site in Myanmar.

De Heus reaches the finals of the Dutch Family Company Award 2015
As you may know De Heus has been selected for the Family Company Award. A prestigious price for outstanding performing family companies. This award will be handed out by the Family Company Foundation, established in 2012 by John Fentener van Vlissingen. The ambition of this foundation is to support and strengthen the position of Dutch family companies, the cornerstone of the Dutch economy.

Working with a strategic partner to deliver premix innovation
In order to deliver the most innovative solutions as part of its premix animal nutrition strategy, De Heus forms strategic partnerships with key suppliers. The aim is to co-develop innovative new products, tools and service offerings that optimise animal performance and health. One such partner is Phileo by Lesaffre, who has a long history in yeast and now uses beneficial micro-organisms to naturally improve human and animal nutrition. Royal De Heus makes strategic entry into the Balkans
On 15 July this year, Royal De Heus signed the agreement for the acquisition of 100% of the shares of the Serbian company Proteinka. By means of this acquisition De Heus is making an entry into the Balkans that is focused on the future. This step is in line with De Heus' aim of further broadening its country portfolio and building up a position in a region where the animal husbandry sector is set a fast development over the years ahead.
