When De Heus acquired a premix animal nutrition factory in Rio Claro, Brazil in 2012, Industrial Manager Alexandre Reis, was instrumental in transforming the existing production lines into a modern, automated facility which produces premixes that are safe and easy to use. He tells us about how the factory was developed and how it meets customer needs on a daily basis.

Royal De Heus launches centre for practical research into pig nutrition
Royal De Heus opened its centre for practical research into pig nutrition, ‘De Elsenpas’, on Monday 6 May. Feeding research can now actually begin following the arrival of the first TN 70-SPF breeding sows. The inauguration underlines De Heus’ ambitions to take the next step in the continuous development of innovative pig feeds.

TraineeshipTim van der Vegt – Trainee Finance and Strategy/M&A
Having spent most of his childhood in Indiana (US) growing up on a large dairy farm, it may not come as a surprise to those close to Tim that he chose the traineeship at De Heus. When he and his family moved back to the Netherlands in 2014, Tim finished high school in Assen and decided to study Econometrics with a specialization in Quantitative Finance at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Among the many traineeships available for prospective starters, the traineeship at De Heus especially excited him.

Susandi has worked for De Heus Indonesia since 2000, when De Heus acquired PT Universal Agri Bisnisindo (UAB). He started working on a project, continued into commissioning and then went into maintenance. After that he moved to the operator room, was promoted to supervisor and finally ended up as section head.

De Heus Russia opens Prestarter factory
On May 22nd, during the VIV Russia trade show, the special piglet prestarter factory in Lakinsk, Russia was officially opened. The official opening was performed by the Dutch Ambassador in Russia, Ron Keller, together with Maxim Sazonov, Koen de Heus and other dignitaries.
