All around the world, the mismanagement of plastic waste is a big issue. As the waste carries over to nearby rivers and leaks into our oceans, the waters in which many of De Heus’ customers grow their fish are increasingly polluted. One day a year, De Heus Myanmar aqua feed factory workers take it to the streets of Yangon to raise awareness about the global plastic problem. In charge of coordinating the troops is Rachel Twhe, project manager at De Heus Myanmar.

Hana is the first person you encounter when you enter our head office in the Czech Republic. She is the ever-smiling receptionist and key to giving visitors and employees a good first impression. Besides handling incoming mail, calls and visitors, she has many other administrative-related responsibilities. Even though she studied hospitality and tourism, when she found there was a job opportunity at De Heus, she was quick to apply for the position of receptionist.

When Percy joined De Heus Vietnam in 2011, he was driven by more than a job opportunity. The company’s values, expressed through its core slogan "Together for Better Results", deeply aligned with his own ambitions: to contribute to high-quality feed production, support animal well-being, and serve the farming communities of Vietnam and beyond. The name Percy, chosen at the very beginning of his career, was inspired by the character Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon known for his control over water. As he joined the Aqua division, it felt fitting—a name symbolizing strength, adaptability, and purpose.

Tassia began her career at De Heus as a Quality Control Analyst, joining the Quality team at the time when the laboratory was set up in the country, located in one of the units of Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo. Today, Tassia oversees all the procedures and laboratory staff, who not only perform much of the monitoring analyses of raw materials and finished products from all De Heus Brazil manufacturing units, but also analyse samples for various De Heus customers. "Every day I learn from new challenges, both in the technical and people management field," says Tassia.
