Tassia Mye Banin Thomazini - Quality Control Supervisor
Tassia began her career at De Heus as a Quality Control Analyst, joining the Quality team at the time when the laboratory was set up in the country, located in one of the units of Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo. Today, Tassia oversees all the procedures and laboratory staff, who not only perform much of the monitoring analyses of raw materials and finished products from all De Heus Brazil manufacturing units, but also analyse samples for various De Heus customers. "Every day I learn from new challenges, both in the technical and people management field," says Tassia.

Today De Heus Animal Nutrition launched this completely new website. A website made for and by children. The purpose of the website is to give children an insight into the livestock sector and to explain to them, in an objective way, how animals grow, give milk and eggs and how animal feed is made. On this website children get the chance to learn more about the animals themselves and how important the agricultural sector is.

Amro El Kady – Plant manager
Amro works as a Plant Manager for Koudijs Kapo Feed in Egypt. Although his father was a mechanical engineer Amro has a thing for agriculture. When he was younger he already took care of the bit of land next to his house. Before Amro started at Koudijs, he had already worked in the livestock sector for 8 years . Amro has been part of the Koudijs team since its inception, which is now more than 18 years ago!

With over 15 years of professional experience, Soraya is a strategic leader with extensive expertise in digital marketing, communication, and audiovisual production. Her work is vital to expanding De Heus's presence in Brazil, spearheading campaigns and initiatives that drive the company’s growth in the competitive animal nutrition industry.

Stimulate the efficiency of phosphates and minerals
In Europe dairy farmers are limited in their business management by the phosphate regulations introduced on 2 July 2015. If they want to grow without purchasing extra land or extra phosphate rights, they simply have to produce more milk per kilogramme of phosphate. This requires a careful strategy, which may vary from one company to the next.

Groundbreaking ceremony for the De Heus animal feed plant in Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya – On the 4th of April De Heus Kenya organized the groundbreaking ceremony of a new animal feed plant in Nairobi, Kenya. Located in Athi River, this facility represents the first dedicated animal feed plant in the country, marking a significant milestone for De Heus. With an annual capacity of 200,000 metric tonnes (MT), the factory is scheduled to initiate operations in the second half of 2025, serving catering to the needs of Kenya's poultry, swine, and dairy farming sectors. This initiative underscores De Heus' commitment to elevating livestock farming standards and supporting agricultural development in Kenya.
