Animal species for which we also produce feed

Our focus is on enhancing animal health and improving results for our customers. However, we not only make food for poultry, swine, ruminants and fish… Whatever animals you keep, we have the appropriate feed! We have several different brands that supply animal lovers with the right feed for their pets as well as nutritional solutions for farmers with less frequently farmed animals. Here are species of animal for which we also produce feed:

Paweł Michalski, head of the quality assurance and production technology department

Paweł describes his professional career as being one with two main parts. The first was the time ‘before De Heus’ when he was a laboratory technician and a recipe specialist in the feed industry. Paweł: “That was a time of intense learning, searching for my own place and opportunities for personal development, which were not so obvious in the previous company. The turning point in my career came when I was contacted by De Heus and subsequently started working as Junior Product Manager in 2018. Thanks to this work, I obtained access to the commercial market and was able to have a real impact on the shape and specificity of products, but also on changes in the whole company. In April 2021, I was appointed head of the quality assurance and production technology department.”

Alberto Maigler Moreno - Veterinarian and Technical Manager for Small Ruminants

Alberto Maigler believes that small ruminants are "a key sector" with "incredible potential". He says this with full knowledge of the facts, because this young veterinarian, who already has a long professional career, is the technical manager for small ruminants at De Heus Spain. "It’s very satisfying to see how our farmers are achieving results thanks to our work," he says.

João Malaca – Beef Specialist

João Malaca is a Beef Specialist for De Heus in Portugal. Working closely with customers, he provides them with the right nutrition to achieve their goal, thus winning their trust. A family man, João loves jazz and blues music.

Royal De Heus launches centre for practical research into pig nutrition

Royal De Heus opened its centre for practical research into pig nutrition, ‘De Elsenpas’, on Monday 6 May. Feeding research can now actually begin following the arrival of the first TN 70-SPF breeding sows. The inauguration underlines De Heus’ ambitions to take the next step in the continuous development of innovative pig feeds.
