In 2019 The Dutch agricultural sector one again exported more than in the years before. A total of 94.5 billion euros worth of products was exported to other countries in 2019. This makes the Dutch agricultural sector the second largest exporter of agricultural products in the world, after the United States which is still the biggest exporter.

Corvin van Dinther – Production Manager Koudijs premix factory
Koudijs premixes are produced in a dedicated premix plant in Veghel, in the south of the Netherlands. The plant is built to ensure that every bag, big bag, or bulk container contains a high-quality, homogeneous premix tailored to customer needs. Get to know Corvin, who has been with the organization for more than 35 years, starting as an operator and now active as a Production Manager for the Koudijs premix factory.

Marcin Wojno has worked for De Heus since 2011, having joined the team at the Łomża plant as a warehouse manager. He already had experience in both team management and working in a warehouse, but had no idea about the feed industry and production. However, he was interested by the job and the company with its established position on the market, respect for its employees, and the potential development opportunities and independence. So, he decided to apply.

SustainabilityPioneering the use of residual flows in animal feed
As part of its sustainability strategy, De Heus aims to increase the use of residual flows, by-products and food waste. By taking the residual nutrients contained in by-products from human food production and incorporating them in our animal feed, we not only conserve scarce resources, we also stimulate circularity. While we use residual flows as ingredients in our compound feed, a significant number of farmers are using increasing volumes of residual flows in liquid feed.
