But did you also know that De Heus is actively supporting the large-scale cultivation, harvesting, processing and distribution of Moringa in Mozambique? We asked Koen de Heus to tell us more about how our involvement in the business success of the company called MoSagri Lda is helping the local community to enjoy life and live more healthy.

“I’ve always felt at home in the outdoors,” says August Lingnau, Regional Sales Manager for KwaZulu-Natal and National Dairy Product Manager at De Heus South Africa. Growing up in Phalaborwa, a small town in South Africa’s Limpopo province, he developed a deep appreciation for the land and the role of agriculture. This passion led him to pursue a BSc in Animal Science at the University of Pretoria, followed by a Master’s degree in Ruminant Nutrition at Stellenbosch University. Collaborating with the Outeniqua Research Farm, he worked under industry experts like Professors Robin Meeske and Christiaan Cruywagen. “Their passion for dairy nutrition was contagious, and it pushed me to explore the field in greater depth,” August says.
