Edward Diehl - Nutritionist Poultry for Central and Eastern Europe
After eight years of travelling around the globe, living in the US for a year and being away from home for more than 36 weeks a year, Edward Diehl (34) decided to settle down at De Heus Animal Nutrition. Edward joined the Global Nutrition team as Nutritionist Poultry for Central and Eastern Europe in February 2021. In this capacity, he strives to achieve the right balance between nutritional value, price, raw materials and logistics. It is a challenge he enjoys; by tweaking the recipe, he can make a difference.

De Heus receives the European Award for Business Quality for its commitment to quality and sustainability
De Heus Animal Nutrition was a winner at the first edition of the European Award for Business Quality (2021), a prizegiving ceremony organised by the European Association of Economy and Competitiveness (AEDEEC) in Madrid and held at the Hotel Westin Palace. At the event, hosted by journalists and communicators Ana García Lozano and Melchor Miralles, the animal nutrition company’s extraordinary hard work and commitment to quality was recognised.

Looking at the road ahead: De Heus' commitment to sustainable transport in The Netherlands
Every day, a fleet of 100 trucks hits the road to deliver animal feed from the Netherlands to customers across The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany and the northern part of France. Traveling up to 100,000 kilometres annually, these heavy-duty vehicles are responsible for significant CO2 emissions which add to the footprint of our feed. Three logistics professionals from De Heus share their experiences with a more sustainable approach to truck transport.

De Heus opens Quality Laboratory in Rio Claro, Brazil
The multinational De Heus, an expert in animal nutrition, launched its Quality Laboratory last Monday, in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil. This is only the first in a series of events that represent the growth of the company in Brazil - the other ones were in Toledo and Londrina, in Paraná. During the celebrations, Koen De Heus, Global CEO of the company and Ton van der Laan, member of the Royal Group De Heus Board were present, and they came especially from the Netherlands to welcome the press.

Grand opening of new De Heus Shrimp Feed Mill in Vietnam
On the 5th of March 2024, at Co Chien Industrial Zone, Vinh Long province, De Heus organized the grand opening ceremony of a new shrimp feed mill. Esteemed dignitaries graced the occasion. Additionally, customers, partners, prominent leaders from local authorities, and members of the press were in attendance. The guests were invited to a tour inside the feed mill to see firsthand how high-quality shrimp feeds are produced.

How sourcing raw materials locally can improve the lives of rural farmers in Ghana
To achieve a sustainable supply chain and foster communities, De Heus Ghana's ambition is to purchase at least 50% of its raw materials from local sources by 2025. In this way, the company can improve the whole supply chain along with the economic position of local farmers. This requires the local business unit to collaborate with strong partners who share De Heus' values.
