Paweł graduated from zootechnical studies. He specialised in animal nutrition and dietetics at the University of Agriculture in Krakow. “I joined the De Heus team in 2014 and I am currently a senior cattle specialist. I advise on nutrition but I am also a member of the Polish robotic group. Their main task is to acquire and transfer knowledge about milking robots to the working group dealing with customised premixes for individual farms.”

Osmar is currently in his second year studying Quality Management at Cesumar University. He has also studied Music, been employed as a textile worker and worked as a production operator for a well-known washing machine company in the country. He is a hardworking, attentive and detail-oriented professional. “Whatever I do, I do it with humility and try to be the best,” says Osmar. This is the approach he is taking to build his professional career.

New factory Vietnam
Today we proudly opened our newest factory in Vietnam. With a great ceremony and a lot of guests we celebrated this milestone. This new production plant is the 7 th De Heus factory in Vietnam and the second factory in Vinh Long. We opened the first factory in Vihn Long in 2011. De Heus became active in Vietnam in 2008.

SustainabilityUnlocking Vietnam’s solar potential for feed production
De Heus Vietnam is scaling rooftop solar systems across its feedmills and farms to reduce grid electricity use, cut CO₂ emissions and advance the Sustainable Supply Chain pillar of the Responsible Feeding Programme. Due to Vietnam’s abundant sunlight, De Heus Vietnam saw a clear opportunity to reduce reliance on grid electricity and strengthen the sustainability of both feedmills and farms. The initiative builds on earlier efforts to decarbonise operations, including the recent transition to 100% electric forklifts—completely eliminating fuel use for forklifts and improving the working experience for factory employees.

With a growing agricultural sector, Asia is a region ripe with opportunities for a company like De Heus which aims to be a global premix animal feed supplier. It already has a rapidly expanding feed and specialities business in many countries in Asia like Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia and India. Now the company plans to establish its own premix animal feed production in Vietnam. Tarik Keij (26) is a De Heus employee who customers won't often come across. Nevertheless, he and his department are indispensable for the functioning of the organisation. Tarik is Service Desk Engineer, working for the IT department in the Netherlands.

Our peopleRafał Blachowski - senior distribution specialist
Choosing to work at De Heus was not accidental. In 2009, Rafał graduated in commodity science from the Faculty of Animal Bioengineering at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. His first job was working as a sales representative. In 2014, whilst browsing through job advertisements, he came across a vacancy for a distribution specialist at De Heus. Having graduated in agricultural studies, he was familiar with animal nutrition. Furthermore, he had already heard a lot of good things about De Heus. Many of his college colleagues worked at De Heus and praised the conditions and opportunities there. Rafał applied without hesitation and was invited to an interview at the company's headquarters. In 2015, he officially joined the De Heus team.
