Truong Dang Ngoc Ly, known as Suzy, works as an Event Specialist in the Marketing department at De Heus Vietnam. Since joining in May 2017, she has become an important link between internal teams and external agencies, ensuring that marketing projects and events come together smoothly. Suzy’s role places her at the heart of the company’s communication efforts, where she balances creativity with the practical demands of the livestock industry.

Suzy: "A workday at De Heus means never having the same day twice, which keeps my job exciting and full of variety. I spend much of my time aligning with colleagues to understand their needs, coordinating with agencies on designs and content, and solving problems as events and campaigns unfold.” What she enjoys most is the challenge of being creative within clear Boundaries, brand guidelines, accurate livestock knowledge, and budgets. This puzzle-like aspect of her job means turning complex or dry topics into engaging experiences for customers. One achievement she values highly is organising large multinational events overseas, where handling high-pressure demands and unexpected challenges is part of the job. "I find joy in the constant variety, whether I am wearing safety gear on a farm one day or a formal suit at an international exhibition the next.”

Suzy’s work connects De Heus solutions directly to farmers and customers by organising workshops, exhibitions, and other events that showcase sustainable nutrition and environmental responsibility. She also supports her colleagues by streamlining media planning and event logistics, helping the whole team shine. Her efforts contribute to advancing the agricultural industry towards a greener future.
People usually associate marketing with fancy corporate events and luxurious dinners in 5 star hotels. But because Suzy works in livestock husbandry, her reality is very grounded. Suzy said: “One day I might be wearing safety gear in farm or at a feed mill, and the very next day, I’m in a formal suit coordinating a massive international exhibition. The constant switch between those two worlds is definitely the most surprising and fun part of my job.” Her advice for future colleagues would be to be adaptable and embrace change, as the company’s dynamic nature offers plenty of opportunities for those who enjoy problem-solving and fresh challenges.
