To strengthen our Global Sustainability team in Ede, we are currently hiring for two specialist roles, each playing a key part in advancing our sustainability ambitions. We are looking for:

  1. Sustainability Data Specialist;
  2. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Specialist Sustainability.

Both roles contribute to building a robust, data‑driven sustainability foundation. As part of our Global Sustainability team, you will work closely with colleagues from different disciplines and business units worldwide, contributing insights that shape our sustainability strategy and support informed decision‑making. In addition, you will act as a key knowledge partner for colleagues across our international organization, supporting them with expertise, insights and guidance.

What will you do?

As a Sustainability Data Specialist, you will contribute to the realization of De Heus’ sustainability goals by managing and developing data platforms, reporting Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, and supporting strategic sustainability initiatives. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and further developing measurement tools for sustainability data, ensuring accurate and timely data collection and validation.
  • Supporting business units in data collection and reporting, including the operational implementation and automation of tools to collect and process sustainability data.
  • Collecting, validating, and reporting scope 1, 2, and 3 data via Power BI dashboards, and maintaining up-to-date Carbon Footprint (CFP) figures for all feeds, factories, countries, and animal species.
  • Collaborating with the CFP project manager and supporting coordination and planning within the project team and sustainability working group.
  • Contributing to the development of decision support models (farm models) to calculate CFP per kg of end product (milk, meat, eggs, etc.) and providing advice to business units and customers.
  • Develop and manage sustainability measurement tools for accurate, timely data collection and validation.

  • Stakeholder Management : You can navigate a results-oriented global organization, easily connect across departments, countries, and cultures, and translate complex data processes into clear communications.
  • Language : Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills : Strong affinity with Excel, databases, and IT systems such as Power BI. Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment is a plus.
  • Education : Academic level of work and thinking, preferably with a sustainability background.
