What will your responsibilities be?
As a nutritionist you will be part of the Global Formulations department. This department covers formulations, species specific support, R&D and QA/QC. Based on your knowledge and experiences, you are thé expert within the department regarding ruminant nutrition. You will work on formulations, as well as projects on for instance raw material evaluation, implementation of new concepts and innovations. Next to this you will be the link between formulations and the global ruminants team.
As a nutritionist, you are the sparring partner for local and global product managers who are responsible for the feed assortment in their (European) markets. You understand their commercial situation, and you are able to bring added value to the product and concept portfolio by delivering valuable input based on your knowledge on animal husbandry, animal physiology, raw materials and feed technology.
You will visit the Business Units (expected travel is about 10%) in your portfolio to maintain close contact regarding operational and quality related issues.
What do we expect from you?
You have a MSc degree in Animal Nutrition or you have gained this level by proven experience in formulation and nutrition. You have at least 5 years of experience in the field of ruminant nutrition. Having experience in working with people from various backgrounds and different cultures has a preference.
Furthermore, you have profound knowledge in ruminant nutrition and understand all the various aspects in the feed business that affect the nutritional quality. With your analytical, persuasive, communicative and pragmatic qualities, you are very successful in your job. People describe you as pro-active and engaging. You have a problem-solving attitude with a result oriented way of working. You are culture sensitive and understand the southern European culture. You are fluent in English (and preferably Spanish) and willing to travel up to 10% of your time.
