What will you do

You will work at the intersection of IT and food technology. Together with your colleagues from the Projects & Support team, you will manage the global applications in the areas of feed formulation, lab, and quality assurance.

  • You handle disruptions in the applications, dive deep to find out what goes wrong, or liaise with the supplier;
  • You configure customer environments, based on their specific needs;
  • You analyze feedback from users and translate this into improvements;
  • You participate in projects to further develop the applications or software;
  • You investigate which opportunities AI offers, and whether it can be used smartly and safely within the department.

In the first few months, you will follow an extensive training program, with intensive guidance to get to know the different applications and work processes.

Where will you work

You will work at the headquarters of Royal De Heus in Ede. De Heus is an international family business with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. We deliver and produce animal feed products for various animals, such as poultry, pigs, cattle, and fish. Internally, you will experience a down-to-earth and entrepreneurial atmosphere. As an Application Manager, you will work in a team of five, each with their own strengths. One colleague knows the client’s laboratory environment inside out, another is an ICT expert. Together, it’s a strong mix, constantly working on optimizing internal software and applications. Both Dutch and English are spoken in the workplace.

About you

You feel at home in technical complexity and gain satisfaction from making processes smarter and more efficient. What we’d like to see on your CV:

  • Bachelor’s working and thinking level in IT or a related field;
  • 2 years of experience with application management (or a similar role);
  • Experience with SQL (reading queries and ideally also writing them) + a foundation in Azure DevOps;
  • You quickly see what can be improved and take initiative to make it happen;
  • You speak and write Dutch and English well.
