What will your role be?

You will work in the Global IT department (about 40 colleagues). Royal De Heus has the ambition to step up in digitalization and to set up an international Cloud Center of Excellence in which the current and future Cloud needs are managed in an Agile and business centered way. This Cloud Center is a functionally steered multi-disciplinary team. The team members are part of the line organization, but form an agile team where the product owner is the driving force. The Product Owner will focus on managing the team’s backlog items in alignment with the priorities as determined by the Global IT Management Team, and the interest of business transformation and Global IT.

The first task for the product owner is to develop the team based on the already created blueprint making sure that the team;

  • Offers guidance/support on application architecture and migration;
  • Develops cloud capabilities and contributes to knowledge building;
  • Offers pipeline automation and other shared services;
  • Architect, configure and manage the enterprise scale landingzone services, Including security and compliance and advanced threat protection;
  • Offers support/advice on technical partner selection criteria;
  • Monitors global Azure Service Health;
  • Supports reports creation for global and BU IT;
  • Inform Global IT and BU IT about the availability & status of new and changed services and features;

What do we ask of you?

A Product Owner

  • Has in-depth knowledge of Agile
  • Has knowledge and expertise of the product and its importance for customer and organization
  • Has experience and knowledge of cloud environments
  • Is able to represent customer interests
  • Can translate business needs - together with other stakeholders - into epics, features and user stories
  • Is able to prioritize product backlog items
  • Is able to communicate with people on different levels in the organization (strategic, tactical and operational)
  • Is able to motivate and inspire (development) teams and other stakeholders
  • Education; Bachelor/ Master degree, Agile certified
  • Competences for this role;
    • Venturous: identifying opportunities and deploying them within the organization
    • Organization: organize people and resources in such a way that goals are effectively achieved; proactively checking to what extent activities are going according to plan; finding and using support and help to convince others
    • Performance-oriented: thinking ahead, work towards achieving predetermined goals; pursue the chosen approach until the goal is achieved, or reasonably deviate from it
    • Communication & Persuasiveness: transfer the essence of the story in clear language for it to be understood; be able to convince others in such a way that, after initial doubts, they agree
