Royal De Heus is an internationally operating company, founded in 1911, active in high-quality animal feed. Due to our success and expansion we are one of the top 10 animal feed suppliers in the world. The Global Nutrition department works supports our Business Units worldwide, and covers Formulations, R&D and Species Specific Support. Within Formulations we would like to welcome an ambitious Nutritionist with a focus on fish and/or shrimp feed formulations.
What will you do?
As an aqua nutritionist you will be part of the Aqua team within the Global Formulations department, based in Ede, the Netherlands. Based on your knowledge and experiences, you are an expert within the team regarding aqua feed nutrition. You will work on formulations, as well as on projects like raw material evaluation, implementation of new concepts and innovations together with the global R&D aqua team.
You are a sparring partner for local product managers and commercial teams who are responsible for the feed assortment in their markets. You understand their commercial situation, and you are able to bring added value to the product and concept portfolio by delivering valuable input based on your knowledge of aquaculture production, fish/shrimp physiology, raw materials and feed technology.
You will visit mainly African or Asian Business Units (expected travel is ~ 20% of your time) to maintain close contact regarding operational and quality related issues. Therefore experience working in Africa and/or abroad is a plus.
What do you bring?
You have a MSc degree in Animal Nutrition or Aquaculture and preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in fish farming, feed formulation, feed production and/or nutrition. Furthermore, you are proactive, analytical and really enthusiastic about working in the aquaculture related feed business.
Having experience in working with people from various backgrounds and different cultures has a preference. With your persuasive, communicative and pragmatic qualities, you are successful in your job. You have a problem-solving attitude with a result oriented way of working. Good knowledge of the Dutch culture is a plus.
