Alema Koudijs Feed PLC is a joint venture between Alema Farms and Royal De Heus (Netherlands). We combine deep local market knowledge with one of the world's leading names in animal nutrition. We produce high-quality, affordable feed for commercial farms, cooperatives, and independent producers across Ethiopia, directly supporting livestock productivity and national food security.
We are looking for a Business Controller to be the financial co-pilot to our management team: someone who doesn't just report numbers, but uses them to drive decisions, challenge assumptions, and unlock growth.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Commercial Impact
- Trusted financial advisor to senior management
- Shape pricing strategy using raw material costs, competitor data, and market positioning
- Evaluate new products, distribution models, and expansion opportunities
Financial Planning & Performance
- Build budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
- Monitor and optimize cashflow performance
- Control cashflow in multiple currencies
- Design KPI dashboards covering production efficiency, margins, working capital, and cash flow
Manufacturing & Cost Control
- Build cost accounting systems tailored to feed manufacturing
- Analyze raw material usage and price variance (maize, soybean meal, additives)
- Drive down cost-per-ton through smarter inventory and production efficiency
Risk & Governance
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations
- Identify and mitigate risks — commodity volatility, currency exposure, supply chain disruption
- Strengthen internal controls and reporting processes
- Support audit activities and implement recommendations
What you bring
- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Master's a plus)
- 4+ years in manufacturing finance, FMCG, agribusiness, or industrial operations
- Sharp cost accounting and financial modeling skills
- A genuine curiosity about emerging markets and how business’ get built
