Royal De Heus is a privately held family company which was founded in The Netherlands in 1911. Over the more than 100 years of its existence and especially in the last two decades, De Heus has expanded from a nationally oriented compound feed manufacturer into a quality driven multinational animal nutrition provider. We believe in doing business in a responsible and sustainable way, by finding the right balance between people, progress, profit and planet. Thinking about the needs of future generations, feeding the world, and the company’s role in society are important to De Heus, its employees and its owners.
With almost 60 production locations in more than 15 countries and trading activities in over 75 countries, over 6.000 employees within De Heus contribute daily to the company’s objectives and ambition. And still we see many opportunities to enter new markets.

We live up to our promise
Although we are very down to earth, we are proud to share that our annual employee engagement survey consistently show that our employees are closely involved and incredibly dedicated. To us, it is proof that the freedom we provide and the trust that we place in our employees is valued. We work hard to maintain this and take any opportunity , such as the employee focus sessions that follow on from the survey, to improve further.
A great, recent example of how we invest in our employees is the ValUe Festival. One day with full focus on individual growth, ambitions and future. Kicking off with a presentation by brain expert Mark Tigchelaar, followed by practical workshops providing tips and tools to put into practice in day-to-day work, and inspiring talks by our leaders.
