We are looking for a Global Business Development Analyst with up to 4 years of M&A experience who will have a vital role in the execution of a broad range of strategy projects and M&A transactions, including acquisitions, partnerships / joint ventures, divestments and financial restructurings around the world.

Our Global Business Development (GBD) department was established when Hein Brenninkmeijer joined De Heus in March 2018 as Global Director Business Development to structure, manage and execute the increasing level of strategy projects and deal flow. Hein previously worked at an international Investment Bank and was part of the M&A team of Heineken. Since Hein joined De Heus, the GBD team has been involved in several successful M&A transactions in Indonesia, Ukraine, Serbia, Iran and Spain. In June 2019, Jurry van Rooijen joined the team as a Manager. Jurry previously worked for the M&A teams of KPMG and ABN Amro in Amsterdam and Singapore. GBD is the centre-of-excellence within De Heus for all M&A projects globally. Furthermore, the department supports the Board of Directors as well as the business units and regions in setting the global and local strategy. GBD reports directly to the De Heus CEOs, Co and Koen de Heus.

What will your responsibilities be?

As GBD Analyst you will execute (specific parts of) M&A and strategy projects, mainly focused around insightful financial and operational analysis. He or she plays a key role in the development of the center-of-excellence for all M&A projects and acts as custodian for related processes, procedures and methodologies in such a way that the quality and effectiveness of the Business Development initiatives within De Heus are at the required level. He or she will play an active role in setting the De Heus M&A strategy and will maintain GBD’s internal and external network (De Heus senior and middle management, investment banks, due diligence advisors, private equity, acquisition targets).

What do we expect from you?

You have an excellent academic track record with a Master`s degree in economics or technical studies. You have gained 2-4 years of experience in an international M&A context in the field of banking, advisory or private equity with significant experience in cross border deal execution. Preferably you have gained experience in the animal feed sector or at least have an affinity with the sector. You have an intrinsic motivation to make a career step towards a ‘principal’ role within an international corporate.

The ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills combined with strong interpersonal skills. You are critical, quality driven and able to think strategically. You are a team player, flexible, hard worker with an intrinsic motivation to deliver and a willingness to travel. Excellent command of the English and Dutch languages.
